Since You Can’t Go Out, Here’s Construction Photos From One Chicago

Remember back when you were searching for a new place in downtown Chicago, and you said to yourself, “I don’t need to pay extra for a nice view — I’ll hardly ever be home!”  Ah, good times.

If all you can see from your compulsory COVID container is your fat neighbor swinging his frontal overhang to Dancing Queen, then avert your eyes and feast upon the photographic goodness below.

These are pictures from YoChicago! of the construction progress at One Chicago, the two-tower complex going up across the street from Holy Name Cathedral, where the celebrants are doing a much better job of practicing safe sects than at the frock jocks at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York.  (Get it together, Dolan!)

When complete, One Chicago will bring 800 new homes to the neighborhood in two towers, one 76 stories tall, and the other 49 stories tall.  It was designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture and Goettsch Partners for JDL Development.
